Bruce Dickinson has announced his seventh solo album, The Mandrake Project, arriving sometime in 2024. The Iron Maiden frontman also unveiled a string of Spring 2024 solo tour dates in Mexico and Brazil.
The Mandrake Project marks Dickinson’s first solo effort since 2005’s Tyranny of Souls and sees him reuniting with longtime collaborator and producer Roy Z.
“This album has been a very personal journey for me and I am extremely proud of it,” remarked Dickinson in a press release. “Roy Z and I have been planning, writing and recording it for years, and I am very excited for people to finally hear it. I’m even more excited at the prospect of getting out on the road with this amazing band that we have put together, to be able to bring it to life.”
Added Dickinson: “We’re planning to play as many shows as we can in as many places as possible, for as many people as we can! As for what The Mandrake Project actually is… all will be revealed soon!”
So far, no further information, such as release date, album art or tracklist, has been revealed; though Dickinson has launched a new website for the album featuring an image of the singer posed like an action-movie hero.
The first shows in support of the album will take place in Mexico and Brazil. The initial leg of the tour kicks off April 18th in Guadalajara, Mexico, and wraps up May 4th in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Ticket information can be found via the concert listing on The Mandrake Project site.
In the meantime, Iron Maiden are playing a run of fall shows in Canada leading up to their performance at the Power Trip festival in Indio, California. Tickets to their upcoming gigs are available here.
