Irina Shayk is not one to speak on her personal life, not even when it comes to Bradley Cooper – until now.
Shayk said navigating life without Cooper is new territory.
“I think we’ve been very lucky to experience what we had with each other,” she said. “Life without B is new ground.”
While the couple rarely speak about their relationship or split, the two reportedly broke up in June 2019 after four years together.
"I think in all good relationships you bring your best and your worst – it’s just the nature of a human being,” she said. "Two great people don’t have to make a good couple."
The 34-year-old model and Cooper share a 3-year-old daughter, Lea De Seine Shayk Cooper, who they co-parent. But even with Cooper's support, as a single working mom, Shayk admitted that sometimes it gets tough.
"It’s hard to find a balance between being a single mom and being a working woman and provider. Trust me, there are days I wake up and I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I don’t know what to do, I’m falling apart,' " Shayk said.
This is the first time the Sports Illustrated model has directly spoken about her relationship with Cooper. A month after rumors of their split were swirling, Shayk snagged BAZAAR.com's summer digital cover, but the notoriously private model stayed quiet on the subject of her relationship.
"Irina didn't comment on her personal life before, nor will she 'address recent developments' now," said one of her modeling agents, according to the cover story.
