You think you can hurt Ireland Baldwin's feelings? Think again.

On TikTok, the #HurtMyFeelings video trend has emerged, in which users share a clip of themselves with La Roux's "Bulletproof" playing in the background and a note about why their feelings can't be hurt.

One example video read, "You think you can hurt me? I teach middle schoolers." Another user explained in their's, "You think you can hurt my feelings? My dad was a teacher at my high school and he made it an extra credit assignment to ask me to prom and nobody took him up on it."

A familiar face was among the sea of #HurtMyFeelings entries: Ireland. Her video message read, "You think you can hurt my feelings? My dad is Alec Baldwin."

She clarified in the caption, "This is half a joke."

Indeed, long before she was a model, the now-24-year-old star was already known in Hollywood as the only daughter of Kim Bassinger and Alec Baldwin. Her publicity heightened in 2007 when Alec left a now-infamous voicemail for his then-11-year-old daughter, which leaked and went viral even before the social media landscape we know today.

In the message, Alec angrily chastised Ireland for not answering the phone and called her a "rude, thoughtless little pig."

More than a decade later, it seems the two have been able to smooth out at least some of their issues. Ireland has turned the controversial moment into a punchline on more than one occasion over the years, including that time in 2015 when she and Alec posed with a book called If I were a pig...

"If I were a pig…." Ireland captioned the since-deleted photo on Twitter. "I would be a rude and thoughtless one of course!"

Two years later, she helped roast him for Spike's One Night Only special. "I'm here to roast this big old ham I call my father. Speaking of pigs, some of you may remember me as that 'thoughtless little pig' you read about. That was a decade ago, and my dad and I are in a much better place now. He would never say something like that," she said. "Because I'm 6-foot-2 and I would kick his a--."

More recently, in September 2019, she participated in Comedy Central's roast of her father. "It's good to be here," she said at the podium. "I almost didn't even know about it because I haven't checked my voicemails from my dad from the last, like, 12 years."
