Ireland Baldwin Laments Her First Daylight Savings Time with Baby Holland: 'Just When I Think I Have a Grip'

The new mom was feeling all the feelings as her daughter's sleep schedule got rocked by the time change

Ireland Baldwin is every new mom who has been rocked by Daylight Savings Time.

The clocks turned back early Sunday morning, throwing a wrench in the 29-year-old new mom's routine with her daughter Holland, 5 months, as she lamented in a humorous and relatable Instagram post.

"Daylight savings really busted my ass today. Just when I think I have a grip on this baby schedule, nap time went too late," she shared.

"This morning was a s--tshow. This whole day felt long as hell. Then when I googled why this is a thing… I got so mad," she continued.

Sharing the story of George Vernon Hudson, who first proposed the time shift, she wrote, "George… are you for real GEORGE?!!!! BUGS GEORGE?!?! I thought this was because of some scientist’s discovery or some noteworthy historical event but no. IT’S BECAUSE GEORGE LIKES BUGS."

"HOW BOUT YOU COME PUT MY GRUMPY, MISSED HER REGULAR NAP, OVERTIRED 5 MONTH OLD DOWN FOR A NAP, GEORGE?!" she concluded.

In an Instagram Q&A last month, the new mom answered a question asking how she and baby are doing.

"I'm not going to lie... there have been moments where I have been so overwhelmed by all of the changes... but overall, things have been beautiful," Baldwin shared.

"She's so much fun to spend time with and figure out," the new mom raved. "I would say most of the stress I've experienced lately has actually had nothing to do with her. Being overtired just makes it all worse."

Baldwin has shared many glimpses at her life as a new mom and entrepreneur on Instagram, joking about the decision to pursue both at the same time in another Q&A answer.

Asked what she wishes someone would have told her as a first-time mom, she joked, "Not to start a business and have a baby at the same time."

The model mom — daughter of Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger — shares Holland with boyfriend RAC (born André Allen Anjos).
