Iowa PBS's 'Iowa Life' to feature Clinton artist Gabriella Torres

Mar. 20—JOHNSTON — Artist Gabriella Torres of Clinton will be featured in an upcoming episode of Iowa PBS's "Iowa Life," a magazine-style series covering the diverse tapestry of Iowa's people, cultures and stories. The episode will premiere at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, and be rebroadcast at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, April 7.

Creative placemaking projects, which use arts and culture to help revitalize communities, are on the rise across the state. In this episode of Iowa Life, viewers will meet Torres, an abstract painter who's working to make Clinton an arts destination. The episode will also highlight DSM Breakerz and a 1968 airplane crash.
