Season 2 picks up with Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson) recounting his life story with Molloy in 2022 after the vampire and Claudia (Delainey Hayles, who replaces Bailey Bass) conspired to kill Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) in New Orleans in 1940. Louis and Claudia head to Europe to discover Old World Vampires and the Theatre Des Vampires in Paris, where Louis first meets the vampire Armand (Assad Zaman). Louis and Armand’s love affair will have devastating consequences in the past and in the future.

“Louis is carrying Lestat with him, kinda literally, and that is going to massively affect the beginning of a new relationship, kinda carrying your ex on your shoulder the whole time,” Anderson said during the show’s panel on Tuesday.

“Lestat potentially is more Louis than he is himself in Season 2,” Reid teased.
