Internet Famous Corgi Is Getting Her Own Children’s Book and Couldn’t Be More Perfect
If you're a fan of watching pet videos on TikTok, chances are you are very familiar with Madmax Fluffyroad, AKA Maxine the internet famous Corgi. Her dad loves carrying her around in a backpack and sharing her daily live and exciting adventures with us. Maxine's dad Bryan made a huge announcement on Thursday, April 25th that left Maxine's fans very excited!
Bryan shared the news about the book, Maxine Gets a Job, and explains how it came to be. Maxine has tried a lot of different jobs but still hasn't found her passion. She's attempted to become a chef, hockey player, rock climber, and more and yet, still hasn't found the job that is 'the one'. Listen in to find out when teh book will be available!
May 7th is right around the corner, and I'm so excited to read Maxine Gets a Job! I live right down the street for our local elementary school and plan to donate one there as well. After all, Maxine is one of my favorite online influencer pets! Commenters were just as excited as I was, and several of them are even planning to attend a book signing to meet Maxine, uh, I mean Bryan!

Fun Facts About Corgis
I always thought that a cute Corgi would make a great pet, and I seem to write about them more than any other dog breed. They're personalities are so big and they're so charming! It's always fun to learn new things about animals that you like, so I thought I'd share some of the things I've learned about Corgis since I started writing about them.
Do you know what "Corgi" means? "Dwarf dog" in Welsh. The name makes a lot of sense since they have those adorable short legs. But don't let those short legs fool you; Corgis are the smallest of the herding dog breed, and they are incredibly fast runners - they can run up to 25 MPH at top speed! It's been said that Corgis were brought by Vikings to Pembrokeshire back in the 10th century and Welsh legends say that Corgis come from a fairy kingdom and that fairies rode them...they're magical little creatures!
If you're a fan of Corgis a trip to Huntington Beach, California might be in order. Three times a year the city holds the SoCal Corgi Beach Day that more than a thousand Corgis attend. That's a lot of low riders all in one place and it would be a fun event to attend!
Corgis are a whole lot of energy wrapped into one small package! They are funny, sassy, absolutely adorable, and I'd love to have one! But there's one big turnoff for me that struck them off of our list when we were researching dog breeds we were considering for our next pet. Corgis are known to be big barkers, something I'm just not willing to deal with. That's why it's important to do your research before picking out a pup just because it's cute - like me, you might find the cons (even just one!) of a breed outweighs the pros for your family.
