Shailene Woodley Faces Her Fears in the First 'Insurgent' Teaser

Welcome back, Natalie?

Summit just dropped the first teaser trailer for the second installment of the Divergent saga — called Insurgent — and it begins with our hero, Tris, played by Shailene Woodley. She’s got short hair and some sweet blonde highlights, which clash with the bombed out urban landscape laid out before her eyes.

None of this could be called unexpected. What we didn’t expect, however, was to see her dead mother, played by Ashley Judd, pop up inside a plummeting, flaming vision of their home in Abnegation.

Thankfully it’s only a fear landscape, and it’s appropriately terrifying, thus a thrilling tease for Insurgent, which hits theaters on March 20, 2015.

It’s unclear how much we’ll actually see of Natalie — she sacrificed herself to save Tris in the first movie — but we do know that Naomi Watts and Octavia Spencer will be joining the cast . Miles Teller, Theo James, Ansel Elgort, Kate Winslet, Maggie Q, and Jai Courtney also return and new director Robert Schwentke (R.I.P.D.) takes the helm.
