Insult-Heavy Interview With Larry David and Jiminy Glick Becomes Hilariously Physical

On the series premiere of the new NBC variety show Maya and Marty, Larry David sat down for an interview with Martin Short’s fictional character Jiminy Glick. The interview started friendly enough but took a turn for the worse when Glick pushed a little too hard while asking David about Seinfeld.

David called Glick a moron, and Glick returned with a quip about David’s breath, saying his eyes “will never stop watering after this.” But that bad breath wasn’t enough to keep Glick away from David as he attempted to scoot uncomfortably close, which was only fended off with more insults.

The vitriol came to a head when Glick insulted David’s political dopplegänger, Bernie Sanders. This soon led to the two throwing handfuls of hard candy at each other and ended when Glick began to beat David. But of course, David was able to sneak in one last insult before the altercation came to an end.
