Insiders Say This Legend’s Death Allegedly Made Cher Get Back Together With Her 37-Year-Old Boyfriend

In yet another unexpected turn of events we didn’t have on our 2023 Bingo cards, it seems Cher and her 37-year-old ex-boyfriend Alexander Edwards are back together again. The rekindling rumors first started in early Sept 2023, four months after their split and a day after they were seen leaving a restaurant hand-in-hand. Days later, they went to a red carpet event together, with matching platinum hair and all. While fans have mixed feelings about the controversial pair, many wondered: “How did they get back together so suddenly?!”

Well, along with Edwards reportedly giving her space, the passing of Cher’s friend, legendary singer Tina Turner, made her change her mind about everything.

“With the passing of her friend Tina [Turner], she is realizing life is too short,” an insider said to Page Six. “She just wants to be happy, and Alex is filling that gap right now.”

Turner passed away at the age of 83 in May 2023, and truly, everyone in the music world mourned her death. And it seems her death may have been a wake-up call for Cher to continue to be with people she adores.

“Alexander is playing the game well. He gave her space when she first called it off. We thought she got rid of him. But the fact is, Cher does enjoy spending time with him,” they added. “The fact is, at this point in her life she just wants to be happy.”

The pair were first linked together in Nov 2022, and the First Time author quickly confirmed she and Edwards were together. Then, in Dec 2022, engagement rumors came up and about. While neither confirmed the rumors, they were seen packing on the PDA with their rare red-carpet events appearances.

Cher previously defended this age gap in a now-deleted tweet, saying, “Love doesn’t know math, it sees [love].” A few months after, they called it quits, but now it seems they’re back together again.
