Insider Reveals Where Arnold Schwarzenegger Stands With His Former Housekeeper Years After Their Affair

In the long list of celebrity scandals over the years, Arnold Schwarzenegger‘s affair with his housekeeper during his marriage with Maria Shriver is definitely one of the most scandalous. After all, in addition to having an affair, Schwarzenegger and his maid Mildred Baena also welcomed a kid together (now 26-year-old Joseph Baena).
Decades after it all went down, however, it seems like the family dynamics still aren’t all sunshine and roses. But, to be perfectly honest, we didn’t expect it to be any other way…

According to a new source in Daily Mail, Schwarzenegger and Mildred have never gotten close over the years despite co-parenting Joseph together. “Arnold and Mildred don’t hang out, don’t talk very often, or at all, but he makes sure that she is okay and finds out how she is doing through Joseph, and it is all done matter of factly,” a source revealed.
Most of all, it seems like Joseph has a close relationship with both parents and that’s the most important thing for them. “He loves that Joseph has a great relationship with her, and though that affair ended his marriage with Maria, he respects her as the mother of his child,” the source explained. “He still is there for Joseph, for any advice he might need. But his day-to-day life doesn’t involve Mildred at all.”

As for why Schwarzenegger is giving the seemingly cold shoulder to Mildred, a source explained that they never had a deep or meaningful relationship to begin with. “It was a one-night stand that provided a forever connection and Arnold is – and has – taken responsibility for that, but he doesn’t chat with her, he has moved on from that moment,” the source added.
“Even though the situation wasn’t ideal and caused a lot of problems, he loves his son,” the source continued. “Arnold isn’t going to fight fate, it is what it is. Though there isn’t any type of relationship with Mildred, he has no ill will towards her at all.”
