On Saturday (Nov. 25), Beyoncé and Parkwood Entertainment brought the RENAISSANCE experience back to Los Angeles to premiere her highly anticipated documentary of the same name at the only domestic debut of the film.

At the Samuel Goldwyn Theater, which is nestled inside of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences headquarters in Beverly Hills, a large portion of Hollywood’s elite posed on the chrome carpet and at the selfie station before heading inside for the main event. All of Destiny’s Child—Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, LeToya Luckett, Michelle Williams, and of course Bey—were in attendance amid rumors of a potential reunion that Rowland has already shut down.

Bey was the last to enter and the first to leave, evading any chaos from the growing crowd of fans and paparazzi outside of the event. She wore a custom silver Versace gown with matching gloves, complete with sleek, platinum blonde hair.

Donatella Versace praised Queen Bey on Instagram by referencing her hit, “ALIEN SUPERSTAR.” “You are a vision in Versace. You are unique. One of one, the number one, the only one!!!,” Versace wrote.

DC 5 aside, the likes of Lori Harvey, her now ex-boyfriend Damson Idris, Tyler Perry, Jay-Z, Blue Ivy Carter, Rumi Carter, Sir Carter, Ms. Tina Knowles, Bianca Lawson, Mathew Knowles, Julez Smith, Normani, Marsai Martin, Victoria Monét, Janelle Monáe, Frank Gatson, Snoh Aalegra, Chlöe and Halle Bailey, DDG, Lizzo, Melina Matsoukas, The-Dream, Law Roach, Les Twins, Tia Mowry, Coco Jones, Gabrielle Union, Amorphous, Issa Rae, Ts Madison, and more all piled into the venue in their best cozy opulence looks—filling all of its 1,010 seats.

All phones and smartwatches were locked inside Yondr pouches before guests were allowed to enter the theater. Attendees were also gifted the limited edition RENAISSANCE popcorn tin and collectible cup, as well as travel sized Ce Noir, a mini poster, and an actual ticket. The film is roughly three hours long—and could’ve been longer—and trust us, you’ll want to sit through the credits. It, not only, is an one-of-a-kind look at the concert, but it’s a deep dive into Beyoncé’s personal renaissance. Viewers will learn more about the four-year process behind the dynamic tour, Bey’s next era, seeing herself through her children, specifically her daughters, and her personal struggles and triumphs, including the knee surgery she endured one month before rehearsals began.

Prior to the premiere, Bey released the final trailer for the film (above) during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The next and final premiere before the film’s Dec. 1 release will be held in London on Nov. 30. The dress code is described as formal opulence.
