Insecure stars DomiNque Perry and Sarunas Jackson have entered a legal battle following Keke Palmer’s request for a temporary restraining order against Jackson’s brother, Darius.

According to PEOPLE, Perry — who played “Tasha” in the Issa Rae-created HBO series — has accused the father of her daughter and former co-star of mental and physical abuse. The petition was reportedly made in California Superior Court on Tuesday (Nov. 28).

Per documents obtained by the outlet, Perry alleged that she “experienced emotional volatility, intimidation, bullying, undeserved stress, mental and physical abuse, controlling and narcissistic behavior, all over the past five plus years from Sarunas and his family.” Perry has also claimed that Jackson has been violent towards her in front of their child.

According to legal documents, Perry claimed that in 2020, the actor, “grabbed me by the throat and started choking me,” causing their daughter to cry. The actress said that it was then that Jackson released her from his grasp and consoled their toddler. “He was so angry that he had blood coming from his mouth where he bit his tongue,” she added.

The 35-year-old’s declarations come after Palmer alleged that Darius got violent in front of their child as well. The singer and actress recalled her partner getting jealous “about the time [she] was spending with [their] son,” and even “almost” got into a “tug of war with Leo” in September 2023 after Darius allegedly became “frustrated” with the infant’s crying.

“Darius started getting rough with Leo physically, and I stepped in to make sure Darius would not hurt him,” Palmer reportedly stated. “Darius was angry, and it almost became a tug of war with Leo. Darius finally let go, and Leo was not harmed, but as I was holding Leo trying to comfort him and finish changing his diaper, Darius hit me in the head before storming out of the room.”

Although Perry and Sarunas Jackson “were never in a romantic relationship,” the Deadly Dispatch actress claimed that she “was regularly bullied and intimidated. I was always nervous because I felt that I wasn’t ever good enough by the Petitioner and the family.”

Perry also shared a time that Jackson allegedly showed up to her residence with “scratches all over his neck and face,” from a fight with his mother. “I asked what happened and he stated ‘he cornered his mom and they were fighting.’ The choking on his behalf is the norm. He is violent with women,” she alleged.

Jackson has reportedly denied any allegations made against him.

“It is unclear where Respondent’s allegations of emotional volatility and intimidation are coming from,” his declaration reportedly states, according to PEOPLE. “My family and I have always welcomed Respondent with open arms, inviting her to family events and showing her love and support in more ways than one. In return, Respondent has defamed my character to others, making them believe I am an absent father.”

He added, that Perry’s allegations “have made me fear for repercussions in my career,” and is concerned about “the looming threat that she would request court-ordered child support for greater than the amount that we have agreed to.”
