Inmates at St Louis Justice Center Smash Jail Windows in Protest

Inmates at the City of St Louis Justice Center broke windows, set fires, and threw debris to the ground in the early morning hours of Saturday, February 6.

Footage streamed live by Darnell Singleton shows prisoners standing at empty window panes several stories above. At one point, a spectator runs over to grab an inmate’s shirt that had been thrown to the ground.

Local reports said it was the third disturbance at the jail “in recent weeks.”
