Injury Wrap: Looks good for Dez Bryant

While it’s been a horrendous injury season with respect to players being done for the year, the Week 10 walkup hasn’t been that bad. Let’s get to our status report.

• Dez Bryant (ankle/knee) did some work in Friday’s practice after missing the two previous days. He’s expected to go Sunday at Atlanta. The Ezekiel Elliott suspension is back on, which sets up Alfred Morris to be the starting tailback.

• Jameis Winston (shoulder) is out indefinitely, starting with the Week 10 grudge match against the Jets. Ryan Fitzpatrick takes over. Mike Evans (suspension) is also out for Week 10.

• Jordan Reed did limited work Wednesday and Thursday, then sat out Friday entirely. Looks like he’s a game-day call for the Vikings on Sunday. (Sunday update: Shocker of shocker, he’s been ruled out.) Vernon Davis (hand) is expected to play, and is never a bad fantasy option when Reed sits. Jamison Crowder (hamstring) is listed as questionable; he’s been impossible to trust all year.

• Although Julio Jones (ankle) missed two days of practice, the Falcons didn’t list him on the final injury report. He’ll start against Dallas.

• Emmanuel Sanders (ankle) worked the final two days of the week and should play Sunday night against New England. The Broncos are going to start QB Brock Osweiler again, so look out below. Demaryius Thomas and C.J. Anderson were not listed on the final Broncos injury report.

• Matt Forte (knee) won’t go at Tampa, which cleans up the New York backfield. Bilal Powell draws the start, with Elijah McGuire the backup.

• Jeremy Hill (ankle) went on injured reserve Saturday, clearing things up a bit for Joe Mixon. Cincinnati’s offensive line remains a bottom-5 unit, however.

• Chris Hogan (shoulder) won’t play at Denver and is week-to-week at this point. Maybe it talks you into Danny Amendola or even Phillip Dorsett, though the Broncos secondary remains a tough draw, no matter what happened in Philadelphia last weekend.

• C.J. Beathard picks up another start, but Jimmy Garoppolo will be in uniform as well. George Kittle (ankle) will not play, setting up Garrett Celek as a desperation flier at tight end.

• Delanie Walker (ankle) had a partial workout Friday after two days of full rest. He’s expected to gut it out Sunday, as he did last week. Eric Decker (illness) returned to work Friday but he’s been too unreliable to play this year.

• Charles Clay (shoulder) has a good chance to dress against New Orleans, but after an extended period of inactivity, I would be cautious with Week 10 projections. Zay Jones (knee) will not play.

• Marqise Lee (knee) had a day off in the middle of the week, but he’s been managing his pain level and playing on Sunday, so don’t adjust your ranking of him. He’s a reasonable play against the Chargers.

• Ryan Griffin (concussion) is out for the year, which means C.J. Fiedorowicz might be pressed into significant duty in his first game back.

• Michael Thomas (ankle) wasn’t on the final New Orleans injury report, so dial him up at Buffalo.

• The Browns expect to have Corey Coleman (hand) back next week, and Josh Gordon could be reinstated by Week 13. Good luck with the quarterbacks in Cleveland, but I suppose there’s some plausible upside here.

• Kenny Golladay (hamstring) did some work at practice and might be able to play against the Browns, though it would likely be fourth-receiver work. I wouldn’t waste a roster spot on him.

• Martavis Bryant will play for the Steelers, though it’s a crowded usage tree he has to fight through. The Colts cut CB Vontae Davis earlier this week. WR T.Y. Hilton (groin) had a limited practice week, so double-check on him Sunday.

• Drew Stanton suffered a sprained knee in Thursday’s loss to Seattle. Perhaps we’ll see Blaine Gabbert start Week 11 against the Texans.

• Teddy Bridgewater is expected to be active at Washington on Sunday, and it’s possible he could be Minnesota’s starter later in the year. Case Keenum has been efficient but unspectacular, and the 6-2 Vikings are in control of the NFC North.
