Hy-Vee seems to have a knack for bringing some of the biggest talents in the music industry to central Iowa during the two-day IndyCar Race Weekend in Newton. That’s meant Carrie Underwood, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, Ed Sheeran and Kenny Chesney, among others, performing on stage in previous years.

Now in its third year, the Hy-Vee IndyCar Race Weekend returns July 12-14 at the Iowa Speedway in Newton, and with it comes two days of concerts bookending the dual races. Hy-Vee announced two of the shows for the weekend.

First up, country superstar Luke Combs takes the stage on Saturday, July 13, before the first NTT IndyCar Series race of the doubleheader weekend. Then on Sunday, July 14, Post Malone brings his blend of R&B, hip hop and pop following the final IndyCar Series race of the weekend.

His newest album, “Gettin’ Old,” includes his remake of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” which earned Combs his seventh Grammy Award nomination. “The Kind of Love We Make” and “Beer Never Broke My Heart” are among his catalog of hits.
