Indiana State Fair announces 2024 theme and Newfields partnership

The art and nature of fun will be the 2024 Indiana State Fair theme. It goes hand-in-hand with presenting sponsor Newfields — the nature campus and home to the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

The theme will be threaded throughout the fair, which will run from Aug. 2-18 and be closed on Mondays. Details on new activities and experiences will be forthcoming, according to a Friday news release.

"This partnership is a wonderful opportunity for us to bring the beauty and magic of Newfields to the wider community, celebrating all things Indiana,” Newfields President and CEO Colette Pierce Burnette stated in the release.

The 2023 theme was basketball, in partnership with the Pacers. The fair reported an attendance of 840,414, which it described as a slight increase over 2022.
