Indian’s limited-edition bobber honors Jack Daniel’s Fire Brigade

We'll start this one with the important disclaimer that alcohol and motorcycles don't mix and that Autoblog in no way endorses riding while intoxicated. Obviously. That said, in this case at least the brand cross-pollination has resulted in a pretty sharp-looking bike.

It's called the Jack Daniel's Limited Edition Indian Scout Bobber, and it's the result of a three-way collaboration between Indian Motorcycle, the Tennessee whiskey maker and Klock Werks Kustom Cycles of Mitchell, S.D. This year's version of the limited-edition Jack Daniel's motorbike, the third since 2016, is inspired by the Jack Daniel's Fire Brigade — yes, the distillery has its own volunteer fire department — and its fleet of gold and black fire trucks and intended as a tribute to firefighters and EMS professionals everywhere. Just 177 examples, each individually numbered, will be produced globally.

The limited-edition bike is based on the stripped-down 100-horsepower Indian Scout Bobber and its chopped front and rear fenders and knobby tires but adds several ultra-premium features. It gets a subtle two-tone black matte paint, a first for an Indian bike, with real 24-karat gold graphics on the fuel tank and fenders, including the Fire Brigade emblem on the tank and the slogan "Bottles and Throttles Don't Mix" embossed on the front fender. There's also a perforated leather seat with JD embroidery, plus custom grips, pegs and shift levers inspired by the "Old No. 7 Brand." Also coated with 24-karat gold is a one-of-a-kind, individually numbered badge from Montana Silversmiths.

The bike goes on sale globally starting at noon on March 13, with orders taken through Indian Motorcycle dealers, but you better act fast: Previous-year models sold out in as little as 10 minutes. Pricing wasn't announced but will climb from the Scout Bobber's starting MSRP of $11,499. Deliveries start in August and come with a commemorative fireman's axe engraved with the owner's name, motorcycle number and VIN.

In addition, Indian and Jack Daniel's will host a sweepstakes open only to firefighters and EMS first responders to win bike No. 001 at events including Daytona Bike Week, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and the Fire Department Instructor's Conference.
