So many stars of television and film came to Yahoo’s suite at San Diego Comic-Con 2017, that we decided to bring back one of our favorite segments: “Stars Asking Stars.” From Kingsman: Golden Circle star Jeff Bridges to Stranger Things stars David Harbour, Paul Reiser, and Matthew Modine, we had stars ask a question to the next group of guests at our suite who would then answer it, and then ask something themselves.
One of the most fun question and answers came between Ducktales and Saturday Night Live star Beck Bennett and two of the Impractical Jokers, James “Murr” Murray and Sal Vulcano. Bennett asked the two, “What was the time you got pranked the hardest? And you were like, ‘What? I just got pranked.'”
Vulcano recalled a moment that was captured in the fifth season of IJ. “This was rough,” he said. “The guys made me believe I was under investigation from the Department of Homeland Security. It played out over the course of a year. One time when we were filming, I messed around with a statue. It was on government property. And [the Impractical Jokers cast and crew] said that someone complained and they had to launch a full-scale investigation. And I had to go to the courts multiple times. What a drag. And they got this real hard-nosed woman who was in charge to really give me the business. ”
“Then they told me I was going to be fined $10,000 or have to spend some time in jail and then they revealed [the ruse] to me,” Vulcano continued. “For one year I thought I was going to be arrested by the Department of Homeland Security. That was deep.”
