Iman Breaks Silence After Death of Mother, Pays Tribute With Sweet Photo
Iman took to Twitter on Friday morning to pay tribute to her late mother, Marian Abdulmajid.
Just months after the death of her husband David Bowie, ET confirmed that the 60-year-old model’s mom died on Thursday. “Saddened by the death of my mom Maryan Baadi,” Iman tweeted. “May Allah grant her the highest jannah #ripmaryanbadi.”

The touching tweet was accompanied by a photo from Iman and Bowie’s wedding, where they are posed with the bride’s parents.

Just days before the death of her mother, the model shared another inspirational message on her Instagram. “Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving,” she posted on March 23. “We get stronger and more resilient.”

After losing her husband in January, Iman also shared several touching quotes with her social media followers. Exactly one month after the singer’s death, Iman quoted the writer Rune Lazuli, Instagramming: “Each tear is a poet, a healer, a teacher.”
