Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons and Aja Volkman's divorce has been finalized, 11 months after she filed for divorce in April 2023.

The former couple — who tied the knot on March 5, 2011 — finalized the proceedings on Monday and cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for their split, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Reynolds, 36, and the Nico Vega singer, 43, will share joint legal and physical custody of their four kids: daughters Arrow Eve, 11, Gia James and Coco Rae, both 6, and son Valentine, 4.

The court documents state that the exes "also entered into a further judgement with confidential information" regarding child support, spousal support, property division, attorney fees/costs and other issues.

The Grammy winner and Volkman listed their date of separation as Aug. 8, 2022, per the documents. They publicly announced their split the following month.

Reps for Reynolds and Volkman did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

In February, the ex-pair settled their divorce and entered an agreement concerning property and child custody with a request for a judge's sign-off, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE at the time. The agreement also saw Volkman ask the court to terminate spousal support to the "Radioactive" artist.

One day after Volkman filed for dissolution of marriage in April 2023, she took to Instagram with a lengthy statement about how the breakup "marked a pretty big transition in our lives," noting that it's been a challenging shift.

"Navigating being in a public space while going through all of the things we have been through this year has been hard for both Dan and I," she wrote.

"There is nothing to be said about the fairness of that because we both chose to be on a stage as our career path, so it certainly comes with the territory," continued the musician. "However, I've never spoken about the details of our marriage or separation or divorce. I don't intend to."

Volkman then expressed her love for their four "amazing children" and asked followers to not "create a witch-hunt out of the unknown."

"I think my not saying anything at all about it has led people to draw conclusions that just aren't real. Of course nobody ever imagines failing at anything when they begin," she added. "We fight like hell and do our best to have a positive outcome. Life is just really wild."

Reynolds announced the split via X (formerly Twitter) in September 2022. "I am saddened to say that after many beautiful years together, Aja and I have separated," he wrote on the platform.

The "Thunder" artist continued, "Being great parents to our children is our number one priority. Thank you for always supporting us with love and care for all these years."

Since splitting from Volkman, Reynolds has been romantically linked to actress Minka Kelly. The two were photographed having a five-hour dinner in Los Angeles in November 2022 and were later seen kissing in March 2023 as he carried luggage for her.
