Ice Cube made headlines after it was revealed he is working with Donald Trump’s campaign to develop a program to help the Black community. But on Wednesday’s “Daily Show With Trevor Noah,” the entertainer said he’s not picking sides, he’s just following the power.

“I'm done playing this politics game,” said Ice Cube. “Joining sides, to me that, that doesn't get the job done. You know, what gets the job done is to try to make a deal with whoever is in power.”

The entertainer said he was eager to work with both parties, and that Donald Trump’s campaign was just the first to reach out to him. He insists however that he is not exclusively working with them, as a campaign senior advisor Katrina Pierson claims. He wants to work with anyone capable of helping the Black community.

“The Trump campaign put out those headlines,” he said. “But you know, you got both the sides putting out headlines.”

ICE CUBE: I'm done playing this politic game, join the sides. To me that doesn't get the job done. You know, what gets the job done is to, you know, try to make a deal with whoever is in power.

KYLIE MAR: Ice Cube made headlines after it was revealed he is working with Donald Trump's campaign to develop a program to help the black community. But on Wednesday's "Daily Show with Trevor Noah," the entertainer said he's not picking sides, he's just following the power.

ICE CUBE: People get mad because they pick their sides. People get mad because they have their perks or whatever they're going to get from each party and they want me to pick a side, and they're upset because I haven't.

KYLIE MAR: During the previous election, Ice Cube did not appear to support the Trump campaign, but according to a senior advisor on Trump's current campaign, he is helping out this go around. However, Ice Cube says, you can't believe everything you read.

ICE CUBE: You know, it's politics. You know, the Trump campaign put out those headlines, but you know, you got both sides putting out headlines.

KYLIE MAR: Speaking of both sides, he recently decided to not participate in a Zoom call with Democratic vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris, because he assumed that the conversation would be fruitless. And while ice cube has only worked with the Trump campaign thus far, he said he's still hoping to work with both sides of the aisle to help the black community.

ICE CUBE: I don't mind, you know, people take shots at me because I talk to both sides of the aisle, but I always believed as you is a nonpartisan issue.
