WATCH: Trial Tease: Watery Grave | I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
Broadcaster White was partnered up with Boy George for the latest bushtucker trial, titled Watery Grave.
Noticeably nervous before even starting the challenge, White was encouraged by Boy George as well as hosts Ant and Dec to push forward with the trial.
Declaring it her "worst nightmare", the pair were placed into underwater tombs and had to use magnets to transport stars through a maze from one to the other.
Despite Boy George's repeat encouragement, a panicked White declared she "couldn't do it" and as creatures and water were added to the tombs, she cried "I'm A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here" putting a complete halt to the trial.
They only managed to achieve two of the 11 stars available for camp food.
White burst into tears as she left the challenge, with her 80s pop star campmate unable to do anything but give her a hug.
"I'm really disappointed in myself and disappointed for camp," she said, admitting she crumbled when she found it too overwhelming.
Despite reassurances from Boy George, White clearly found the whole ordeal too much.
Naturally, the camp came together to lend their support.
“Charlene looked devastated. She looked really disappointed in herself," Owen Warner later told the Bush Telegraph.
"Moments like that are where I love the camp, everyone came together, gave her a hug and made sure she’s alright.”
This prompted White to admit she was homesick and missing her children, prompting her to break down as she admitting she was finding the jungle too much.
Fans at home though were disappointed with her efforts, and took to Twitter to complain: "Charlene had a chance to prove herself and absolutely blew it," said one.
A second added: "Surprised at Charlene; she had the least challenging trial so far!!"
Others sympathised with the struggling star though, with one saying: "bless poor charlene i wanna give her a hug"
"Aww Charlene bless her, she just needs to go home, this show is not for her," said a second.
I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here airs nightly at 9pm on ITV.
