Iliza Shlesinger has been one busy lady.

After writing and starring in the 2021 film Good on Paper, based on a personal experience with an ex-boyfriend who lied about his identity, Variety recognized her as that year's highest-grossing touring female stand-up comedian. A year later, Shlesinger released her sixth Netflix special and published a collection of essays titled All Things Aside: Absolutely Correct Opinions.

"There's always going to be jokes — because that's who I am," she told PEOPLE about her book. "But I took this opportunity at 38, 39 to really put my stamp on this and say, here are my thoughts on life thus far."

However, the Last Comic Standing winner's most significant accomplishment in 2022 was becoming a mom. She welcomed her first child, Sierra Mae, in January of that year with her husband, Noah Galuten, whom she married in 2018. The couple's second child, Ethan Lyons, arrived in February 2024.

So, who is Iliza Shlesinger's husband? Here's everything to know about Noah Galuten and his relationship with the comic and TV host.

Galuten is from Santa Monica, California. His father is Albhy Galuten (né Alan Bruce Galuten), the Grammy-winning record producer behind Barbra Streisand's "Woman in Love" and Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton's duet "Islands in the Stream."

"I was raised to believe that nothing worthwhile existed east of the 405 and that the Valley was just a place where Teamsters rented film equipment," he wrote in a November 2013 article for Los Angeles Magazine.

After Galuten went to college, he moved to New York to try his hand at being a playwright but returned west five months later. Although his creative career didn't take off right away, Galuten later found his passion unexpectedly.

Galuten is a chef and author who has written three cookbooks, including 2023's The Don't Panic Pantry Cookbook (Mostly Vegetarian Comfort Food That Happens to Be Pretty Good For You) — featuring a foreword by Shlesinger. The project was inspired by their YouTube cooking series Don't Panic Pantry, featuring short videos with "mostly vegetarian comfort food" recipes.

The James Beard Award nominee also co-wrote 2022's Bludso's BBQ Cookbook: A Family Affair in Smoke and Soul with Kevin Bludso and 2017's On Vegetables: Modern Recipes for the Home Kitchen with Jeremy Fox.

Shlesinger and Galuten met on a dating app in July 2016 and got engaged less than a year later.

The Girl Logic author recalled the special moment after she came home from dinner and started undressing.

"I realized our living room was full of flowers and candles, and Noah stopped me before I left the room, saying there was something he wanted to do before I ran off to the bathroom," she told Brides in June 2018. "I started crying and turned away, yelling that it couldn't happen with my fly down!"

She continued, "He'd arranged for my assistant and his mother to set the whole thing up while we were out."

The couple tied the knot on May 12, 2018, with one important flower girl: Shlesinger's dog, Blanche. Wearing a white leash and matching white bow fastened to her collar, Blanche walked down the aisle with one of Galuten's groomsmen.

"She started to cry before I walked down the aisle, but I couldn't go to her because, hello, I was about to walk down the aisle," Shlesinger told Brides. "But if I could have, I would have carried her instead of my bouquet, and our first kiss would have been Blanche, Noah and me."

She also revealed how emotional she felt on her big day.

"The second the curtains opened, and I saw Noah and our guests and how beautiful the moment was, I totally lost it," she said"I was uncontrollably laughing and crying, and my parents had to literally support me because I couldn't feel my legs."

She shared more details about her wedding in the Netflix special Unveiled, telling PEOPLE in November 2019, "I had the experience of getting married, and I love my husband, and it was a beautiful day, but it is not all perfection."

"Women were expected to go through this flawlessly, and I'm here to tell you, it's very human to have some negative thoughts on that day," the Spenser Confidential actress added.

Shlesinger and Galuten have co-hosted the YouTube cooking series Don't Panic Pantry since April 2022.

On the weekly episodes, the foodie duo share kitchen tips and recipes, including peach brandy bread pudding, mushroom ragù, smoked potato tacos and steak teriyaki, among other things.

Galuten spawned his 2023 cookbook from the channel of the same name, hoping to show "people how to cook food that they are willing to eat."

He once ate 102 different cuisines around Southern California

To broaden his palate, Galuten went on a food tour around Southern California in 2008. According to Eater Los Angeles, he tried food from a different country every day with a total of 102 unique cuisinesHe blogged about the experience under the name Man Bites World (which is no longer active).

Galuten later wrote about his experience for Los Angeles Magazine in 2013.

"I started Man Bites World, a no-frills blog in which I set before myself the daunting task of eating the food of a different country each day until I ran out of cuisines," he wrote. "There were a few rules: no days off, no cooking anything myself, and no mail-order imports (sorry, fermented Swedish herring)."

Some of the places he went to included a "Sri Lankan curry joint," "a South African sports bar" and "a Nigerian hole-in-the-wall."

After weeks of this experiment, he concluded "that food is our best hope at ever truly understanding one another, and that if you embrace the flavors of someone's soul, they will embrace you, too (sometimes literally)."

Shlesinger announced she was pregnant with a baby girl during a stand-up set in San Antonio on Aug. 13, 2021, later telling PEOPLE that she felt "excited and open minded." She also revealed that her assistant knew the news before Galuten did.

"We found out from a test, and my assistant was in the room before my husband got there," she said. "So technically, she found out first. It was uncomfortable for everyone!"

Shlesinger and Galuten welcomed their daughter, Sierra Mae, on Jan. 13, 2022, weighing 7 lbs., 9 oz., which PEOPLE exclusively announced.

"We live in Hollywood, and she is the first person I've been excited to meet," Shlesinger said. "Mother and baby are doing beautifully. Dad's back hurts, unrelated to pregnancy."

The new parents wanted two different things for their daughter's name — Shlesinger "wanted a unique name evocative of nature," while Galuten "wanted an easy name." The Pieces of a Woman actress explained, "Our compromise was a unique name with an uncomplicated spelling."

Similar to her pregnancy with Sierra Mae, Shlesinger announced that she was expecting again in a memorable way. In September 2023, the comedian starred in a bit in which she crashed a sex reveal and called for event organizers to stop releasing pink and blue balloons into the atmosphere.

At the end of the short clip, posted on Instagram, Shlesinger shared that she and Galuten were having a baby boy.

"Sex reveals and baby celebrations can be done so irresponsibly so I just wanted to bring awareness to that while also making a point about simply having a baby is special enough," Shlesinger told PEOPLE about her message.

Ethan Lyons arrived on Feb. 23, 2024. "I picked Ethan partly because it means 'strong' in Hebrew and also because Ethans are usually pretty good-looking,' " Shlesinger shared with PEOPLE just days after giving birth.

On June 19, 2022, Galuten shared a tribute to Shlesinger on Instagram and several photos of a family lunch at Found Oyster restaurant in L.A.

"Happy First Father's Day to me but more importantly, here's to the greatest woman in the world, who married me and carried our beautiful daughter better than anyone has ever carried anything in the history of the humankind," he wrote. "BONUS: find the baby feet.🍾 🦐 🦪 🦞 🦀."
