Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Phoebe Bridgers to Perform at 2020 Tibet House Benefit

Tibet House US has announced its 33rd annual benefit concert at Carnegie Hall, featuring performances from Iggy Pop, Patti Smith, Margo Price, The National’s Matt Berninger, Phoebe Bridgers, Laurie Anderson and more. Philip Glass will serve as artistic director.

The annual concert is typically a star-studded affair; last year’s benefit featured performances from Anderson, Sturgill Simpson, Jason Isbell, Angel Olsen, Blood Orange, and Stephin Merritt. In 2017, Iggy Pop performed “She’s Lost Control” and “Stray Dog” with New Order, and Philip Glass shared the stage with Alabama Shakes and Patti Smith. Tibet House US is a non-profit institution founded in 1987 at the request of the Dalai Lama to support the survival of Tibetan culture.
