Idris Elba Says He Tested Positive for Coronavirus

Idris Elba announced that he has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19). On Twitter, along with a video revealing the news, Elba wrote, “I feel OK. I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus.” In the video, Elba advises fans to continue practices of social distancing and hand washing. Last year, Idris Elba joined James BKS, Little Simz, and Q-Tip on the single “New Breed.” Also in 2019, Elba performed at Coachella, featured in Stormzy’s “Vossi Bop” music video, and starred in Cats alongside singers like Taylor Swift and Jason Derulo. Idris Elba was recently cast in the Netflix film The Harder They Fall, co-produced by JAY-Z.
