'Idol' alum David Archuleta surprises viral crying fans during 'Great Idol Reunion'

American Idol opened up the "Idol Yearbook" Monday night to celebrate their 20th anniversary with "The Great Idol Reunion," which brought back Idol veterans like Justin Guarini, Jordin Sparks and Ruben Studdard, among others, Ryan Seacrest's blonde tips, and legends like Paula Abdul and Randy Jackson.

One of the most memorable contestants from the past, William Hung, who went viral before "going viral" was even a thing with his spirited rendition of Ricky Martin's "She Bangs," also made an appearance Monday, which Katy Perry was extremely delighted over.

Speaking of going viral, back in 2008, a video of four David Archuleta fans sobbing uncontrollably over Archuleta's loss to David Cook during the Season 7 finale made the rounds. And on Monday, the four, now women, stood on the stage calm, cool and collected.

No tears were shed when Archuleta surprised his superfans on stage, but the girls were still all smiles, as Archuleta, who is recovering from vocal surgery, shared, "I have been using my phone to talk for the last two months. Thanks for creating such a fun and memorable moment for me and for everyone else. Sorry I didn't win."
