HERSHEY, Pa. (WHTM) — Award-winning singer and performer Idina Menzel is coming to Hershey this summer as part of her “Take Me or Leave Me Tour.”

Menzel will perform at the Hershey Theatre on Friday, August 16 at 8 p.m.

Menzel first became famous when she played the character Maureen in the Broadway musical “Rent.” Afterward she saw major success again with her Tony-winning performance as Elphaba in Wicked and her role as Elsa in the Oscar winning movie “Frozen.”

The song “Let It Go,” sang by Menzel also won the Oscar for Best Original Song and the Grammy Award for Best Written Song for Visual Media.

Menzel’s performance in Hershey will feature various hits from her career, including songs from “Wicked” and “Rent” as well as singing from her album “Drama Queen.”
