The Idea of You ’s Craftsman-Style House Is Open for Sleepovers

While we can’t speak to whether the opportunity includes a whirlwind romance with a dreamy pop star, the sweet Craftsman-style bungalow from Prime Video’s The Idea of You is currently available for overnight stays. The very same house from the new film, starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine, is listed on Airbnb.

Those who book this movie-star dwelling will pack their bags for an Atlanta-area historic neighborhood known as Virginia Highland. And yes, the Prime Video rom-com is set in California, but many scenes were actually shot far from SoCal in this very residence.

Founded in the early 1900s, the Virginia Highland area is filled with original Craftsman houses and other early 20th-century-style homes. From the quaint front porch to its large open living area, the recently renovated home boasts a number of Craftsman details, including wood beams along the ceiling and warm wooden plank flooring throughout.

A galley-style kitchen and a separate dining room are situated on the ground floor along with an enclosed sunroom for lounging and two bedrooms, complete with ensuite bathrooms. Upstairs, the primary suite features a small reading nook, a balcony, a jacuzzi, and a walk-in shower in its ensuite bathroom. A small sitting room is located one room over. According to the listing, the house has been available for six years on the booking platform, and guests seem to love staying there.

The Idea of You was released on May 2. The Prime Video flick sees a nearly 40-year-old Hathaway navigating a tumultuous romance with a 24-year-old Galitzine, who plays a pop superstar in a One Direction-style boy band.
