Iconic Princess Diana Philly Eagles jacket gets a new life from Swifties, 'The Crown'

It's time to "Crown" a new champion jacket.

Forget Starter jackets, don't buy a Triple Fat Goose, if you want to be like the cool kids, you'll don the popular Philadelphia Eagles jacket. And if you think the jacket is selling well because Philly is the hottest team in the NFL, it's not. The credit goes to Swifties with a side of Netflix.

A study by fabric experts Dalston Mill Fabrics shows online interest for “Philadelphia Eagles jacket” increased 12 times the average volume. This happened just hours after photographs of Kylie Kelce wearing the jacket were released and after Season 6 of the hit Netflix series "The Crown" started streaming this month. The story of the Royal Family actually features the jacket.

Kylie Kelce is the wife of Eagles star Jason Kelce and sister-in-law of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who is dating pop star Taylor Swift.

While Swift is dating a Chief, the Jersey girl was an Eagles fan (she grew up in Reading, Pennsylvania). She might be the most popular one since Princess Diana was seen wearing the same famous jacket on the cover of People in 1994. A replica of the famous coat autographed by Kylie, recently sold for $100,000 at a charity auction.

“Diana, Taylor, and Kylie all represent bold, independent, and kind women who are not afraid to express themselves and empower women to take pride in being who they are. Hence, it is clear to see why their influence extends worldwide and across decades.

"Her status has gained the Eagles an even bigger following.”

While Princess Diana wore the jacket in part because of the kelly green color, she did become an Eagles fan just like Swift. The Eagles are doing them proud, sitting at 10-1 this year with the best record in the NFL.
