Half Moon Windy City Sports Grill in Phoenix closed after 18 years.

A Facebook post dated on Jan. 31 announced the news that the landlord has decided to tear down the building on Highland Avenue in the Biltmore area and replace it with apartments.

Half Moon Windy City Sports Grill will officially closed on Monday, Feb. 12 — after Super Bowl 2024 — and it held one last Lunar Party on Feb. 10. The Lunar Party is a competition where women show a little backside for a chance to win prizes. Guests can expect a smaller menu, music by DJ Big A, $3 mystery shots, $4-$5 beers and $4 well drinks and house wine until 10 p.m.

Fans posted photos of their favorite nights in the comments on Facebook. "The end of an era. Sad to see it go," Jesse Salazar wrote.

Half Moon Sports Grill on Greenway Parkway in Phoenix will remain open. Clay Moizo and his partner, Don Talbott, also just opened a new barbecue restaurant, Foley Ranch Boots & BBQ at Desert Ridge.
