ICM Shows Off New Digs Which Includes Almost 400 Works Of Art

“We really look at this office as a great symbol of renewal and evolution for ICM Partners,” said agency founding partner Chris Silbermann as he introduced the agency’s new digs on Constellation Boulevard to clients and the press Thursday night in an opening celebration cocktail party. While ICM had been at the 10250 Constellation address for a while, they switched offices and moved to a new space on the top five floors. The move was a Herculean effort which had to be done within eight months and, as Silbermann said, it took “an army of people working countless hours to power through everything” as they moved hundreds of agents and staff into the new space.

The two screening rooms on the first floor, which the agency will still utilize, are now both being renovated as they are taking it in a different style from when MGM and Kirk Kerkorian owned the spot.

The cocktail party was held in a beautifully open two-story atrium “sky lobby” on the 34th floor with a stage on one end where ICM client and saxophonist Kamasi Washington would end the night with a jazz creation of his own making, leading his band in a cacophony of sound and beats against a backdrop of what looked like a shower of light.

Silbermann and partner Ted Chervin, who have known each other for over 25 years — and stayed together in a management capacity after 2006 when they merged their powerhouse agency Broder Webb Chervin Silbermann with ICM — spoke while Washington’s band set up behind them.

On display in the hallways of the top floors of the new space is roughly 400 works of art which represents 80 artists from 60 countries. “One of the things we think about ourselves, when we think about our best version of ourselves, is that as agents we champion artists and we represent so many different kinds of artists — actors, writers, directors, cinematographers, authors and one of the key elements of our new space is our art collection,” said Chervin. He called the collection “an extension of our love of artists.”

The collection is a rotating one that will connect with the ICM Foundation which supports children and education. The agency will hold a series of salons with the artists themselves and school kids to further art education.

Among the attendees were Fox Television Group’s Dana Walden and Gary Newman, Fox Networks Group’s Peter Rice, ABC’s Patrick Moran, FX’s John Landgraf, attorneys David Fox and Linda Lichter and producer Lawrence Bender.
