ICM Partners Signs Poet-Performer Rupi Kaur

EXCLUSIVE: Rupi Kaur, whose self-published book of poetry milk and honey when she was 21 became a New York Times bestseller in 2014, has signed with ICM Partners. The agency will be tasked with expanding the India-born Canadian’s career into film, television and theater.

Kaur wrote, illustrated, and self-published milk and honey after sharing some of her work on social media sites like Tumblr. The book sold more than 6.5 million copies and has been translated into more than 30 languages. Her second poetry collection, the sun and her flowers, was published last year. It has sold more than 1 million copies.

The poet-illustrator was also an editor of the 2016 Mays Literary Anthology of New Writing from the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and was one of BBC’s 100 women of 2017.

She remains managed by Rakhi Mutta.
