Ben Affleck’s Dunkin’ cinematic universe continues to grow.

On Tuesday night during the MTV Video Music Awards, the coffee and donuts chain debuted a new commercial, directed by and starring Affleck, and produced by the actor’s Artists Equity production label.

The new spot stars Affleck and rap star Ice Spice, who conceptualize a new drink: The Ice Spice Munchkins Drink.

“How are people going to connect you to Dunkin’?” Affleck asks the music star. “Yeah, I’m a Dunkin’ girl,” she replies, suggesting the name of the drink as a “collab.”

The brainstorming session ends with Affleck attempting to rap: “Here I am, I’m with Dunkin’…you go,” he tells Ice Spice. The spot ends with a promotion for the new drink, which launches Wednesday and is based on frozen coffee blended with pumpkin munchkins (donut holes).

The commercial is the third from Affleck and Artists Equity for Dunkin’ this year, kicking off with a Super Bowl ad starring Affleck and his wife, Jennifer Lopez, at a Dunkin’ drive-thru, and followed by another ad in April in which Affleck was confused for Matt Damon. However, Dunkin’ says that this new VMAs commercial marks the beginning of a new campaign “since formalizing their partnership following the success of their Super Bowl work.”

“Big promotion,” Affleck says, talking to the camera during the spot and hinting at the new Dunkin’ deal. “They made me brand ambassador.”

“I’ve always been a Dunkin’ girl!” added Ice Spice in a statement. “Collaborating with Dunkin’ and Ben Affleck on this spot was a dream. The drink has a fun twist, a little something in the name for my fans, too. I can’t wait for everyone to try it.”

Affleck launched Artists Equity last year alongside Damon and RedBird Capital’s Gerry Cardinale. The production company is producing films (including its debut project, the Damon- and Affleck-starring film Air), TV shows and commercials, with the Dunkin’ campaigns among the first major projects.

Affleck is well known as a personal fan of the New England-based coffee and donut chain, with locations all over the actor’s home state of Massachusetts.
