Ice Spice may just have one of the best marketing teams in the game.

As fans anticipate her debut album, Y2K, her squad has been promoting the forthcoming project with unique ploys across The Big Apple. On Monday (May 13), MTA announced its partnership with the “Think You The Sh*t (Fart)” rhymer to create custom cards for commuters. The keepsake shows an image of Ice rocking her ginger curly fro, a “Versace Goddess” baby-tee, leather shorts, and fishnet stockings underneath.

Only 50,000 of the custom MetroCards will be available at only four MTA stations: the Fordham Road 4 train station; the Fordham Road B and D station; 34-Street Penn Station on the A, C, E line; and Times Square-42nd Street.

The latest marketing strategy follows her recent hot-boxing antics.

Earlier this month, Pink Range Rovers appeared in New York City with heavy smoke protruding from its windows.

The shocking antic was in promotion of the Bronx star’s latest single, “Gimme A Light,” which samples Sean Paul’s 2002 dancehall hit, “Gimme the Light.

Speaking of sampling the millennial smash, Ice spoke with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe ahead of the track’s release where she admitted she was nervous about the single.

“I was really nervous because we really wanted to have a very authentic Y2K sample in there, and Sean Paul, he’s legendary,” she said. “And that song alone, his ‘Gimme the Light,’ is so iconic that I was so nervous to sample it, because I’m like, ‘This isn’t going to get cleared, so what’s the point?’”

However, Paul cleared the track so Ice could fully have one of her Y2K musical dreams come true. “Thankfully we got it cleared. Shouts to Sean Paul. He’s so real,” she added.

In April, a larger-than-life, inflatable Ice Spice was spotted rolling through NYC on a flatbed truck, in promotion of her fashion collaboration with Alexander Wang.

The inflatable figure replicated her look for the AW photoshoot where she sports her “Nocturna” collection, which was inspired by the “Deli” artist’s NYC roots. The line includes denim dresses and chic pants ranging from $150 to $1,495.

“As an artist, I’m always challenging myself on how I can contribute to culture in a way that drives things forward, and Alexander Wang is a great vehicle for that, with this incredibly bold and global campaign,” Ice spoke of teaming up with Wang. The brand also described Ice as a “strong alpha wang woman.”

As the 24-year-old continues to push the anticipation for Y2K‘s release, she did announce that she wrapped the LP and secured a “crazy collaboration.”

While appearing on The Today Show in January, she spoke on the significance of her debut’s title, which signifies her birthday on Jan. 1, 2000. She also revealed that the album was “almost finished” at the time before confirming its completion in March on Instagram.

“I finished recording y2k the album,” she captioned a photo of her wearing pink heels and a jean skirt complemented with a red lollipop as an accessory.

As of now Ice Spice has not announced a release date for Y2K.
