Actor and rapper Ice Cube has been married to his wife Kimberly Woodruff since 1992.

Although she brushed him off when they first met in the late 1980s, he eventually won her over. They now have four children together and have been married for just over three decades.

Speaking with PEOPLE, Ice Cube had some sweet words for his wife. "She's been everything. This business looks like it's exciting all the time, but sometimes it can get lonely," he said. "Somebody that knows you for real, knows everything about you, just to have her there fighting these battles with me this whole career has been awesome. I'm glad she's stuck with me all this time, didn't kick me to the curb."

Another key to their marriage is the fact that they keep things private. While Woodruff is always there to support her husband at events, the couple keeps their personal lives mostly personal. But Ice Cube always has a few loving words about her when interviewers ask him about how they've maintained a happy marriage for so many years.

So who is Ice Cube's wife? Here's everything to know about Kimberly Woodruff.

During an interview with Graham Bensinger, Ice Cube shared that he first saw Kimberly at Fox Hills Mall in 1989.

"I saw her coming down the escalator … When I saw her, something automatically went through my head and said either 'that could be your woman' or 'that should be your woman,' " he shared.

They ended up in the same store and started talking, but as Ice Cube remembers it, Kimberly wasn't interested in him. But that obviously isn't the end of the story.

"I ended up seeing her five or six months later and we remembered each other and we ain't been apart since," he said. "Since about August 5, 1989."

When it was time to pop the question, Ice Cube truly went all-out.

"I wanted to propose to her but it was also close to her birthday," he explained during his 2021 interview with Graham Bensinger. "I bought her a BMW and I pulled it in there and I had the ring sitting on the seat. So she came out for the car and that was one moment of joy, but when she saw the ring it just went to another level."

"I was happy that she said yes and that we was gonna start a life together. I always felt like I wouldn't be nowhere near as successful as I am without her. She helped me come to this decision to leave NWA," he continued. "We respect each other, we listen to each other, and you know, we down for each other. Meaning that we know we're family no matter what and we'll do anything to make sure nothing comes between our union. I feel lucky."
