Hurts Donut, a national doughnut chain with a punny name, opened its first Ohio location in Greater Cincinnati on Wednesday.

The 24-hour doughnut shop opened in Symmes Township at 12110 Mason Montgomery Road.

On Facebook, the chain encouraged customers to camp out overnight in anticipation for the grand opening. The first 100 customers in line got a chance to win free doughnuts for a year.

Hurts Donut opened at 5 a.m. on Wednesday, and wrote in a Facebook post that it sold 7,000 donuts within the first four hours.

Besides doughnuts, Hurts Donut also sells coffee, milkshakes and other drinks. The chain also offers doughnuts made without gluten, however they could come into contact with gluten.

Hurts Donut began as an eclectic doughnut shop in Springfield, Missouri, opened by Tim and Kas Clegg in 2014, and has quickly become a trendy chain in the Midwest, according to QSR Magazine.
