‘Hunger Games’ Star Jena Malone Files Restraining Order Against Her Best Friend’s Ex-Boyfriend
'Hunger Games' star Jena Malone has filed a restraining order against her best friend, Sarah Blickle's ex-boyfriend.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Malone claims the ex-boyfriend assaulted Blickle, which resulted in her landing in the hospital. The actress also alleges he is making her feel unsafe by taping threatening letters onto her mailbox.
The best friend is also seeking her own restraining order against the same person.
Jena Malone Files Restraining Order Against Friends Ex-Boyfriend
In her court filing, Malone alleged that her best friend, Blickle, almost died after being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. She stated that she was a witness to the assault and was the only person with the former couple at the time when it happened on February 18, 2023.
Malone further noted that he is a threat to her safety, claiming that the 42-year-old taped threatening messages on her mailbox that mentioned her and her 7-year-old son.
She wrote, "[He] taped harassing letters on my mailbox that mentioned myself and my 7-year-old son. These letters contained harassing language and made me fear for my safety."
The "Hunger Games" star also added that he has sent her harassing text messages and "shown up" at her home on "uninvited to cause trouble."
Now, Malone is requesting that the man be ordered to stay at least "1o yards" away from her and not harass or contact her.
Jena Malone's Best Friend Is Also Requesting A Restraining Order Against Her Ex
Malone's best friend, Blickle, 47, who was allegedly assaulted, also filed a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend.
She elaborated more in her filing about the incident that took place between her and the man, which led to her seeking a restraining order. She wrote that he "grabbed" her and "threw" her on the ground of her home.
"He made a rude joke, and I left the room and went to bed. He followed me upstairs, and we started arguing. It ended with him throwing me on the ground and holding me down," Blickle wrote. "I was screaming for help. He ran out of the house. I called 911, the police came, and I filed a report."
Blickle specified in her report that he has abused her "about 10 times" and it happened "throughout 2021 and 2020."
According to Blickle, her ex-boyfriend allegedly "strangled her and pinned her against the wall of the shower" in her home during another incident when they got into an argument. She also claims he once threatened to kill her and her son.
She wrote: "He threatened to kill me and my son. The gun was in the closet, but he didn't take it out. I went downstairs where my son was (he was 5). [He] stood behind my son with a boxcutter and made a throat-slitting motion while I sat on the ground, frozen in fear." This alleged incident took place in 2021.
Blickle is now requesting that her ex be given a stay-away order, a no-contact order, and an order not to abuse.
