Humane Animal Rescue gives positive update on dog that was neglected, abandoned

The Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh provided a positive update on a dog who was abandoned and nearly starved in Crescent Township.

The rescue said Crescent could be ready for adoption as soon as this weekend.

The rescue said she has already regained 20% of her body weight and continues to get stronger every day. Crescent also had extensive dental extractions because of the number of broken and infected teeth she had.

The rescue said she’s friendly and gentle with the staff.

Adoptions are first-come, first-serve. But they said if you miss out on Crescent, not to worry. There are plenty of adorable animals that need their furever homes right now.
