Hulu debuted first look images from its new limited series “We Were the Lucky Ones,” starring Joey King and Logan Lerman. The first three episodes will premiere on the streamer on March 28, with the following episodes coming out weekly.

The series is a television adaptation of Georgia Hunter’s novel “We Were the Lucky Ones.” Based on a true story, the show follows a Jewish family separated at the start of World War II on their quest to survive and reunite, per the release.

Hadas Yaron, Henry-Lloyd Hughes, Amit Rahav, Sam Woolf, Michael Aloni, Moran Rosenblatt, Eva Feiler, Lior Ashkenazi and Robin Weigert round out the cast.

Erica Lipez (“Julia” and “The Morning Show”) serves as the showrunner, in addition to writing the series. Thomas Kail (“Fosse/Verdon”) directs and executive produces with Jennifer Todd, who executive produces for Old 320 Sycamore. Adam Milch executive produces, with Hunter co-executive producing. The Hulu Originals series is a production of 20th Television, which is a part of Disney Television Studios.

Starz has released the trailer for Season 3 of the crime drama “BMF,” premiering March 1.

The series’ synopsis reads, “Inspired by true legends, ‘BMF’ continues the story of brothers Demetrius ‘Big Meech’ Flenory and Terry ‘Southwest T’ Flenory, who rose through the illegal drug trade from the depths of poverty in Detroit to the heights of fame and fortune across America. BYUTV has released a trailer for Season 2 of “How I Got Here,” a travel show where young adults accompany immigrant parents back to their country of origin on a 10-day trip of a lifetime. The season will premiere on Feb. 4 on BYUTV and the BYUTV app.

“While enjoying stunning views and local cuisine, these parent-child duos will relive the sacrifice, struggle, and dramatic circumstances that led their families to where they are,” reads the season’s log line.

The show will take viewers to countries like Kosovo, Vietnam, Ireland, France and Kenya.

The premiere episode will fly viewers to the sunny Caribbean island of Cuba, where: “Jordan and his Cuban-born father, Adonis, have recently reconnected after an eleven-year estrangement. Growing up, Jordan missed having his father’s influence in his life, including never learning about his family’s heritage in Cuba. For the first time, they are embarking on a journey to Adonis’ homeland and, set against the vibrant & unique Cuban culture, will explore their family’s rich musical legacy, reunite with generations of relatives, and re-establish their bond as father and son.”

AMC Networks has released the second trailer for “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live,” debuting Feb. 25 on AMC.

Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira return to “The Walking Dead” universe to reprise their roles as Rick Grimes and Michonne.

Per the series description, “’The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’ presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were. Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Victims? Victors?Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?”

The rest of the cast includes Pollyanna McIntosh, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Terry O’Quinn, Matthew August Jeffers, Craig Tate and Andrew Bachelor.

Showrunner Scott M. Gimple serves as executive producer in addition to Lincoln, Gurira, Denise Huth, Brian Bockrath and Greg Nicotero.

The trailer, linked below, amassed more than 16 million views across platforms in the first 24 hours after it was released. It garnered 1.3 million engagements, with the top-performing platforms being TikTok and Instagram. The first-day viewership for this trailer was quadruple that of the first look trailer for “The Ones Who Live.” Per AMC, a significant portion of this engagement has been organic.

Two new episodes of the Acorn TV crime drama “The Madame Blanc Mysteries” will be released on Monday, Feb. 19. Subsequently, one new episode of Season 3 will be released every week.

Sally Lindsay created and stars in the series.

Per the official description, the series “follows renowned and respected antiques dealer, Jean White (Lindsay). Her expertise in the world of antiquities proves to be the key to solving a series of murders and mysteries against the backdrop of the beautiful French village of Sainte Victoire. This season sees Jean solving new mysteries, ranging from a deep-sea diving mishap to a historical duel, alongside her friend – and flirting partner – Dom.”

Dom is played by Steve Edge. The rest of the cast includes Sue Vincent, Sue Holderness, Robin Askwith, Alex Gaumond and Tony Robinson.

Sue Vincent is co-writer alongside Lindsay. Dermot Boyd directs the series. “The Madame Blanc Mysteries” is co-produced by Clapperboard and Saffron Cherry Productions in addition to Acorn Media Enterprises. Jake Rollins produces; Mike Benson and Andy Morgan executive produce on behalf of Clapperboard with Sally Lindsay and Caroline Roberts-Cherry for Saffron Cherry.

Masterpiece has revealed the first trailer for “Alice and Jack,” a new television romance series starring Andrea Riseborugh (“To Leslie”), Domhnall Gleeson (“The Patient”) and Aimee Lou Wood (“Sex Education”) set to premiere on PBS on March 17 at 10 p.m. ET.

The show’s logline reads: “‘Alice & Jack’ is a love story for the ages. When Alice (Riseborough) and Jack (Gleeson) first meet, they’re bound by a connection so powerful it seems nothing can break it, but will their path lead them to a place of happiness and togetherness? Or will life and their own emotional complexities get in the way? Honest, intimate and surprisingly funny, the series shows love in all its unexpected, technicolor, kaleidoscopic beauty.”

Created by Victor Levin (“Mad Men,” “Mad About You”), the six-episode long series will be directed by Juho Kuosmanen, who co-wrote and directed the 2021 Cannes Grand Prix co-winner “Compartment 6,” while Hong Khaou (“Lilting”) will take over and wrap the second block of the series.

Rounding out the cast are Aisling Bea (“Greatest Days,” “This Way Up”) and Sunil Patel (“This Time with Alan Partridge,” “Stath Lets Flats”).

“We unite in yearning to see evidence of real love, and, too, are soothed to share with one another the ache of its inevitable imperfection,” Riseborough said. “This story is for anyone who could or couldn’t make the sacrifice that love demanded, for anyone who battles and accepts the one who makes their soul soar, for anyone who longs to feel, who has felt, and who feels the tingling anticipation of love’s joy.”

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch,” the animated spinoff series to the Emmy- winning “Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” will return for a third and final season on Feb. 21. Disney+ has unveiled a new trailer and teaser poster.

“In the epic final season of ‘Star Wars: The Bad Batch,’ the Batch will have their limits tested in the fight to reunite with Omega as she faces challenges of her own inside a remote Imperial science lab,” reads the season’s logline. “With the group fractured and facing threats from all directions, they will have to seek out unexpected allies, embark on dangerous missions and muster everything they have learned to free themselves from the Empire.”

The show’s cast is comprised of Dee Bradley Baker (“American Dad!”), Michelle Ang (“Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462”), Keisha Castle-Hughes (“Whale Rider”), Jimmi Simpson “Westworld”), Noshir Dalal (“It’s Pony”) and Wanda Sykes (“The Upshaws”).

The show is executive produced by Dave Filoni (“Ahsoka,” “The Mandalorian”), Athena Portillo (“Star Wars: The Clone Wars,” “Star Wars Rebels”), Brad Rau (“Star Wars Rebels,” “Star Wars Resistance”), Jennifer Corbett (“Star Wars Resistance,” “NCIS”) and Carrie Beck (“Ahsoka,” “The Mandalorian”). Peacock has dropped the first teaser for “Apples Never Fall,” based on “Big Little Lies” author Liane Moriarty’s bestselling novel. All seven episodes will premiere on the streamer on March 14.

From writer and showrunner Melanie Marnich, the series follows the seemingly perfect Delaney family. Per the release, Stan (Sam Neill) and Joy (Annette Bening) are former tennis coaches who have sold their tennis academy and are ready for the next chapter of their lives. As they anticipate sending time with their adult children (Jake Lacy, Alison Brie, Conor Merrigan-Turner, Essie Randles), a wounded young woman knocks on Stan and Joy’s door, which brings the excitement they have missed. However, when Joy suddenly disappears, her children are forced to re-examine their parents’ marriage as dark family secrets start to emerge.

Georgia Flood, Jeanine Serralles and Dylan Thuraisingham round out the cast. In addition to Marnich, David Heyman, Gregory Jacobs, Moriarty, Bening, Joe Hortua, Albert Page and Jillian Share serve as executive prodcers. Chris Sweeney is the executive producer and director for Episodes 1-2 and 6-7, while Dawn Shadforth is the director for Episodes 3-5.

Hulu has released a new trailer for “Love & WWE: Bianca & Montez,” which promises to be a “fun, exciting peek into the personal lives of WWE’s hottest couple” and will debut on the platform on Feb. 2.

“‘Love & WWE: Bianca & Montez’ is a fun, exciting peek into the personal lives of WWE’s hottest couple. Bianca Belair and Montez Ford’s road to WrestleMania is a wild ride, as Montez continues his ascent and Bianca fights to hold on to her title,” reads the show’s logline. “With the support of their tight-knit group of friends, family and fellow superstars, the dynamic duo somehow always manages to pull off the impossible.”

WWE and Wheelhouse’s Spoke Studios produce the series. Kevin Dunn and Chris Kaiser serve as executive producers for WWE, while Pam Healey, Will Nothacker, Liz Fine, Russ Friedman and Jayson Elmore are executive producers for Spoke.

All eight episodes will premiere on Feb. 2 on Hulu.

PROGRAMMING

“Extra,” the Emmy-award-winning entertainment news series, has been renewed in major markets by Fox Television Stations. That means “Extra” has been given a firm go to return for its 31st season.

That marks the sixth season of the show broadcast on Fox stations (the show used to air on NBC stations alongside “Access Hollywood.”)

Billy Bush hosts “Extra,” with support from senior correspondent/weekend co-host Melvin Robert, senior correspondent/weekend co-host Mona Kosar Abdi, and correspondents Megan Ryte and Terri Seymour.

Helmed by executive producers Theresa Coffino (“Crime Watch Daily,” “Hard Copy”) and Jeremy Spiegel (“Crime Watch Daily, “H8R”), “Extra” produces a half-hour edition every weekday and an original hour-long weekend installment weekly. Telepictures Productions produces the series with Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, while Warner Bros. handles distribution.

“We are so excited to take ‘Extra’ into Season 31 with our incredible partners at Fox and all of our stations,” Coffino and Spiegel said in a joint statement. “We have the best team in entertainment news, and this is a testament to everyone’s talent and hard work.”

“True Crime News,” a new daily syndicated series from Warner Bros. Television Group, will premiere on select Fox-owned stations this September.

Produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television in association with Telepictures, the series will be nationally syndicated and focus on breaking crime news. Ana Garcia, the host of “True Crime Daily: The Podcast,” will host “True Crime News.”

“Audiences continue to be fascinated by true crime stories, mysteries, and investigations, and the talented team at Telepictures has developed a distinctive series that is sure to captivate. We’re thrilled to have Emmy winner and expert crime reporter Ana Garcia as host, and we can’t wait for viewers to see ‘True Crime News’ this fall,” chairman and CEO of Warner Bros. Television Group Channing Dungey said in a statement.

“True Crime News” aims to advance cases through a true crime tip line and call to action in each episode. The series will also work closely with local newsrooms to integrate local crime cases, allowing them to roll in a crime story in their market.

CASTING

Paramount+ announced that Richard Brake, Denny Love and Paula Malcomson will have recurring roles in the new season of “Mayor of Kingstown.”

Brake will play Merle Callahan, an Aryan shot-caller in Anchor Bay serving a life sentence. Love was cast as rookie prison guard Kevin Jackson, while Malcomson will portray Anna Fletcher, a woman from Kingstown who has a request for Mike.

Michael Beach was upped to series regular, reprising his role as police captain Kareem Moore. Nichole Galicia and Necar Zadegan will also return this season in the recurring guest star roles of Rebecca and Evelyn Foley.

Jeremy Renner stars in “Mayor of Kingstown” alongside returning series regulars Hugh Dillon, Tobi Bamtefa, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan-Headley and Nishi Munshi.

The series was co-created by Taylor Sheridan and Hugh Dillon, who executive produce with Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Dave Erickson and Regina Corrado. Erickson also serves as showrunner. The show is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions exclusively for Paramount+.

EXECUTIVE NEWS

Radley Studios is broadening its executive team with the appointment of Sandra Young as vice president of television and content development.

Young previously worked at Asylum Group Entertainment and served as senior director of current programming at NBC Universal.

Radley Studios is behind a variety of projects including “Unnatural Selection,” “Shark Tank Meets Shark Week” and “Immigration Nation.”

“We believe Sandra is exceptionally equipped to lead our expansion of diverse, engaging content, in the true crime, sports, science and culture spaces, satisfying the audience’s appetite for compelling programming,” said Christian Thompson, COO of Radley Studios.

Young also commented on her new position: “I’m thrilled and excited to work with such a talented team, and my goal is to continue to build on the successes they’ve already achieved in the unscripted world. Plus their offices are located in the historic Wiltern Theatre building in Koreatown, not far from where I grew up, which sealed the deal for me to combine my two passions of content development and exploration of amazing food and culture.”

Radley Studios is also celebrating the 100th episode of the true crime series “People Magazine Investigates” and its renewal for an eighth season.

PODCASTS

The new season of “Acting Up with Cortney Wills” premiered on Jan. 22 with an episode featuring Aujanue Ellis-Taylor discussing her new film “Origin.”

Willis and Ellis-Taylor discussed the origins of hate both on and off screen — as well as why Ellis-Taylor believes the Ava DuVernay film is not getting the recognition it deserves in Hollywood. Additionally, Ellis-Taylor discusses her experience with pay inequality, specifically her demand to Will Smith while working on “King Richard” and her thoughts on Taraji P. Henson’s demands.

“Acting Up” centers Black Hollywood, as Wills sits down with leader in the industry to discuss how their community is represented on screen.

DEALS

Lionsgate Alternative Television, known for unscripted programming, has signed with United Talent Agency for representation.

Producer Craig Piligian became managing director of the newly restructured unit following Lionsgate’s acquisition of eOne. The division includes Pilgrim Media Group, Renegade 83, Blackfin, Daisybeck Studios and eOne’s U.S. and U.K. unscripted groups, which are responsible for series such as “Naked and Afraid,” “Street Outlaws,” “Wicked Tuna,” “The Yorkshire Vet,” “Ex on the Beach,” “Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez” and “Tulsa Burning: The 1921 Race Massacre.”

In addition to Piligian, the management team at Lionsgate Alternative Television includes Gretchen Stockdale as president and Nicholas Caprio as executive vice president. David Garfinkle and Jay Renfroe are senior executives.
