Hult Center announces Broadway series lineup: 'Hamilton', 'Hadestown', 'Dear Evan Hansen', more

The Hult Center for the Performing Arts has announced its 2024-2025 Broadway in Eugene series set to begin in November.

"While this may be our biggest season yet, it's only the beginning of some ambitious plans," said Jeff Weinkauf, interim general manager for the Hult Center.

The series will feature various shows and performances, including its first-ever "first-run" presentation of "Back to the Future: The Musical" straight from Broadway.

According to the Hult Center, the management of the Broadway in Eugene series has allowed the center to launch more extensive education and engagement programs including the Bridge to Broadway program which has served at least 575 youth in the community through workshops, backstage tours, and subsidized tickets to performances.

Broadway in Eugene 2024-2025

The new season will include the following shows:

  • Hadestown will be featured at the Hult Center from Nov. 15-17. The show has won eight 2019 Tony Awards, including Best Musical and the 2020 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album.

  • Back to the Future: The Musical will be featured at the Hult Center Dec. 3-8. The show is the winner of the 2022 Olivier Award for Best New Musical.

  • Dear Evan Hansen will be featured at the Hult Center Feb. 7-9, 2025. According to the Hult Center, Dear Evan Hansen is the first musical to take a groundbreaking look, from the point of view of both the parents and the young people, at their complex, interconnected, and social media-filled lives.

  • Hamilton will be featured at the Hult Center from March 25 to April 6, 2025. Hamilton is described as an "epic saga" that follows the rise of Founding Father Alexander Hamilton as he fights for honor, love, and a legacy that would shape the course of the nation.

  • MJ: The Musical will be featured at the Hult Center July 22-27, 2025. The show is a multiple Tony Award-winning musical centered around the 1992 Dangerous World Tour.

The season will also include three additional shows:

  • STOMP - Jan. 10-11, 2025

  • CHICAGO - Feb. 28 to March 2, 2025

  • Riverdance - June 3-5, 2025

"We're beyond thrilled to be continuing the Broadway in Eugene series at the Hult Center and have been blown away by the feedback we've received on how this series impacts so many in our community, from developing artists, to the incredible economic ripple effect felt throughout," said Weinkauf who highlighted how shows have brought business to local communities, restaurants, hotels, and more.

Subscription renewals are available for all current Broadway in Eugene subscribers and new subscriptions will be available at a later, unconfirmed date. Single ticket sales will also be announced later this summer.
