Hull’s Drive-In Theater showing two furry, family-friendly movies

LEXINGTON, Va. (WFXR)– Hull’s Drive-In Theater is hosting a weekend full of family fun, showing two newly released movies on Friday, May 25, and Saturday, May 26.

This furry family-friendly weekend at the drive-in will kick off with a showing of The Garfield Movie, starring Chris Pratt and Nicholas Hoult. In this movie, Garfield the cat has an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father, who draws him into a high-stakes heist.

Following Garfield, Hull’s will play John Krasinski’s imaginative IF. IF follows a girl who can see everyone’s imaginary friend and her journey to reconnect forgotten ‘IFs’ with their kids.

Hulls Drive-In says although they will be showing these movies back to back, studio rules and regulations say these films must be treated as two separate single features. This means tickets will need to be purchased for Garfield, or for IF. Tickets for one movie are $10 for adults and $6 for children.

The drive-in also offers a combo ticket for both movies, with prices listed at $15 for adults and $9 for children.

Gates open at 5:30 p.m., with Garfield expected to begin at around 9 p.m. There will be a 15-minute intermission following the first movie and theater officials believe IF will begin at around 11 p.m.
