Howard Stern's Wife, Beth, Reveals Breast Cancer Scare: 'I Was a Nervous Wreck'

Beth Stern just got some fantastic news related to her health, but revealed to fans that she has been living in a nightmare for the past 6 months.

Howard Stern's wife, who is best known for her tireless work with rescuing kittens, took to Instagram on Tuesday to alert fans that she had big news, and that it was, "Not a kitten post."

"I went in for an annual mammogram 6 months ago and they found 1/2 inch growth that needed to be rechecked in 6 months," Beth explained.

She continued, "Today was my recheck and it didn’t increase in size. I was a nervous wreck for the past 6 months."

Beth is breathing a sigh of relief, and describes the waiting period as even more hectic because one of her "dear friends" had recently gone through a double mastectomy.

She explains that her growth is just a "Fibroadenoma," or a non-cancerous breast tumor, and also stressed the need for women to get their yearly mammogram checkup.

Also interesting, Beth revealed that she was treated by Dr. David Agus, a world renowned expert in cancer research, and the same doctor who helped save the life of Stern's radio show sidekick, Robin Quivers, a few years back.

In 2013, Quivers, who is good friends with Beth, was diagnosed with stage 3C endometrial cancer, but after surgery and chemotherapy treatment, went into complete remission.

Beth, who shared her story alongside an amazing bikini photo, explained to her fans why she broke from her normal theme of posting about animals:

"Not a cute kitten post but a little dose of reality and i think you are all important and worthy and want you to be here as long as you can... love you all, she wrote.
