Honey the therapy dog might need to seek some external help after Fox canceled animated series Housebroken.

The series has aired two seasons on the network but struggled to break through. Season two of the show, which concluded in August 2023, averaged 1M viewers and a 0.1 L7 rating among Adults 18-49.

The series, which comes from Veep’s Gabrielle Allan, Jennifer Crittenden and Clea DuVall, features the voices of Lisa Kudrow, Nat Faxon, Will Forte, Tony Hale, Sharon Horgan, Jason Mantzoukas, Sam Richardson and DuVall.

It follows a group of neighborhood pets and stray animals as they work through their issues inside and outside their therapy group. Kudrow voices Honey, a standard poodle, who opens her living room for the group to come and support each other through the misery, mayhem and majesty that is being a pet.

The series is produced by Kapital Entertainment and Fox Entertainment. It is created and executive-produced by Gabrielle Allan, Jennifer Crittenden and Clea DuVall. Sharon Horgan, Clelia Mountford, Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor also serve as executive producers. The series is animated by Bento Box Entertainment.

Fox’s animation slate currently features series including Krapopolis, Grimsburg, The Great North and long-running series such as The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers.

It also has Universal Basic Guys, from creators Adam and Craig Malamut, which it ordered to series in November 2022 but has yet to air.

Krapopolis, from creator Dan Harmon, launched in September 2023 as part of Fox’s Animation Domination programming block and is set to run through May 19. It has already been renewed for seasons two and three.

Grimsburg, starring Jon Hamm, launched in January and concludes its first season this weekend. It has already been renewed for a second season.

The Great North, which features the voices of Nick Offerman, Jenny Slate and Will Forte, is currently in its fourth season and co-creator Wendy Molyneux revealed earlier this year that it is already in production on season five.

The Simpsons, Family Guy and Bob’s Burgers, meanwhile, have been renewed through the end of the 2024/25 season.
