Horse And Pony Rescued From Mud During Flooding in Salinas

A horse and pony were rescued after becoming trapped in deep mud in Salinas, California, on January 28.

A winter storm battering California triggered floods and mudslides in Monterey County on January 27, as heavy rain was dumped on areas previously hit by wildfires.

Local reports said the animals were were stuck for up to 18 hours after a debris flow from the River Fire burn scar.
