Hop to it: Here's a sampling of Easter egg hunts in the Greater Akron area 🐰🥚

Easter is just around the corner and some events are already getting started. Here's a sample of Easter egg hunts that are planned in the Akron area.

Easter Bunny at Summit Mall

There are various dates and times to schedule a photo op with the Easter Bunny for your little ones at Summit Mall, 3265 W. Market Street, all month long. The bunny is set up at Dillard's north court between Torrid and Versona. See available times here.

Akron Zoo Easter egg hunt

Akron Zoo Egg-stra Wild Egg Hunt runs March 16-17, 23-24 and 30 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Akron Zoo, 500 Edgewood Ave. Tickets include egg hunt, treat bag and zoo admission. More info and ticketing details here.

Kenmore Easter egg hunt

The Annual Kenmore Easter Craft and Egg Hunt is from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 23 starting at Kenmore Community Center, 880 Kenmore Blvd. There will be children's craft projects and prizes along with refreshments. Easter Bunny and Easter Ducky will appear for photo ops with children before prize winners are announced around 10:45 a.m.; the egg hunt will follow. After the hunt, children and adults are invited to the Kenmore Community Church of the Nazerene at 2025 12th Street SW for the church's Annual Easter Events from noon to 1:30 p.m. More info here.

Stow Easter egg hunt

The Stow Bunny Trail Hop is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Silver Springs Park, 5027 Stow Rd. Bring your own basket to fill as you go along the bunny trail; maps will be provided at registration. Booths will be set up along the trail with games, activities and goodies. The Easter Bunny will be waiting at the end. More info and registration details here.

Summit Metro Parks Easter-themed events

On March 29, the Eggstronauts event will be held at Summit Lake Nature Center at 411 Ira Ave. in Akron from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Kids ages 10 to 15 are invited to engineer their own egg-landing craft. More info, including required advance registration, here.

On March 31, the Drop-in Discovery: Eggs event will be held at the Liberty Park Nature Center at 9999 Liberty Rd., in Twinsburg from noon to 3 p.m. Kids of all ages are invited to see real bird nests and eggs up close. A craft and egg-themed scavenger hunt around the nature center will also be included. More info here.

Cuyahoga Falls Easter egg hunts

The 68th Annual Egg Hunt will take place March 30 from 10 a.m. to noon at both Keyser Park (851 W. Bath Rd.) and Waterworks Park (2025 Munroe Falls Ave.) in Cuyahoga Falls. Children can hunt for eggs (bring your own bag or basket), participate at a craft table and goodie bags will be available for the first 500 children per park. Kent Easter egg hunt

Kent Parks and Recreation will host a youth Easter egg hunt March 30 starting at 1 p.m. at Fred Fuller Park, 601 Middlebury Rd., Kent. Children ages 9 and under can participate in collecting eggs (each containing a prize) and meeting the Easter Bunny. There's also a chance to win a larger prize. More info here.

Stan Hywet Easter egg hunt

Stan Hywet will host its annual Easter egg hunt on March 30 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Front gate opens at 8:30 and activities begin at 9 a.m. The manor house and grounds close at 2 p.m.

Activities include egg hunt (bring your own bag or basket), pictures with the Easter Bunny, rides on the Easter Eggspress, craft and coloring stations, storybook characters as well as new activities including a dramatic story reading presented by the Ohio Shakespeare Festival and others.
