Hootie & the Blowfish have announced plans to play Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix on Saturday, July 13, as part of a Summer Camp with Trucks Tour with special guests Collective Soul and Edwin McCain.

This is Hootie & the Blowfish's first metro Phoenix performance since June 19, 2019, when the Group Therapy Tour played Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre, which was Ak-Chin Pavilion at the time.

Mark Bryan, Dean Felber, Darius Rucker and Jim “Soni” Sonefeld formed Hootie & the Blowfish as students at the University of South Carolina.

They've sold more than 25 million albums, including their 20-times-platinum "Cracked Rear View," which remains among the 10 best-selling albums in U.S history.

In a press release, Bryan said, "Basically overnight, our lives changed when 'Cracked Rear View'did what it did — and yet as we quickly moved from vans and college bars to tour buses and arenas, not much else changed with how we approached making music and sharing it with our fans.”
