Honoring the honored: Gallery reception fetes the honorees of 14th Caritas Dei gala

Adolfo Zaralegui, Most Rev. Gerald Barbarito, bishop of Palm Beach, and James Borynack at the Findlay Galleries annual Christmas event to benefit Catholic Charities in December. The Caritas Dei Bishop's Gala kickoff is set for Dec. 19 at Findlay Galleries.

A performance by the All Saints Catholic School choir, complete with handbells, highlighted a Christmas-themed reception at Findlay Galleries.

All together now ... "Awwwww."

Gallery principals James Borynack and Adolfo Zaralegui hosted the event, which took place Dec.14 and honored Bishop Gerald Barbarito , the supporters of the Caritas Dei Bishop’s Gala and the 2024 Caritas Dei honorees.

In addition to cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and music amid the elegant holiday greenery, the event offered a leisurely look at the featured exhibit of the works of Nicola Simbari, a Palm Beach favorite.

More the 150 people attended the reception.

The 14th annual Caritas Dei Gala ― the signature fundraiser of Diocese of Palm Beach's Catholic Charities ― takes place Jan. 23 at The Breakers and marks the 40th anniversary of Catholic Charities.

Amy Acierno and Karmita Gusmano are gala chairwomen.

Marietta Muiña McNulty is chairwoman emeritus and Borynack is honorary chairman.

Proceeds from the annual gala will support Catholic Charities, established in 1984 as the social service arm of the diocese, with the mission to provide help and create hope for people in need, irrespective of race or religion.
