"Top Chef: Wisconsin" premiered Wednesday night and social media users celebrated the return of the popular Bravo show, now in its 21st season, along with Milwaukeeans who tuned in to see their beloved city shine on national television.
Before the premiere, the show released a preview with a heartwarming moment when local "cheftestant" Dan Jacobs welcomed everyone to Milwaukee.

Jacobs, eager to show off his town, was all of us in the episode when he grinned at the mention of local restaurants and blurted out "I know him," when Paul Bartolotta was announced as a guest judge. A lot of Milwaukeeans also had to limit their urge to point out every local thing.

And of course cheese was on everyone's mind.

Can’t believe we’re about to kick off a Top Chef set in Wisconsin. Dream come true honesty.
I wonder how many cheese or dairy-based challenges they are. Three feels like a conservative estimate.— Charlie (@CharlieFreyre) March 21, 2024
There was some good Wisconsin product placement with Miller High Life beers and the Spice House spices making appearances.
Spice House spices. Nice touch. #TopChef

Not only were products shown off, but so was local James Beard Award finalist Lupi & Iris restaurant during the first challenge of the season.
People on social media pointed out the Midwest accents, full of long vowels that snuck out when locals like Bartolotta welcomed everyone to Milwaukee.
I just realized I get an entire season of the Midwest accent on #TopChef and I could not be happier

Bucks fans, however, had a hard choice on what to watch last night.

Some Wisconsinites were extremely excited for the home-state representation...
