Rapper and designer Kanye West, in New York City to host Saturday Night Live tonight, stopped in his tracks when he heard a young man rapping on the street Saturday afternoon.

According to a video West shared on his newly resurrected Instagram account, he spotted the man, named Nino Blu, rapping on the street in Greenwich Village.

“Yo tell them your name,” West, 41, says.

”My name is Nino Blu … and I’m here with Kanye West,” Blu responds, as West turns the camera quickly to himself, showing he’s wearing a MAGA hat and orange coat. “Actually, my birthday was the other day, and I just became homeless because the guy at the place I was living with was a little crazy.”

“I’m out here on the street, and Kanye is bringing me into the studio right now,” Blu continues. “He heard me rap, he let me rap to him. He says I have good energy, and he’s gonna show me some beats and stuff.”

“I feel extremely blessed. I feel very happy,” he says. “I feel like God is just looking out for me right now. I don’t really have any words to describe what’s going on, it just feels like a crazy-ass miracle.”

He goes on to say, “I just want everyone back there to know if you have a dream, if you have anything that you feel like you’re pursuing, keep going for that s*** until the very end. Cuz you don’t know what potentially could happen. The universe works in very mysterious ways, and I feel extremely blessed for Kanye West to help me out with this.”

According to TMZ, Kanye, along with wife Kim Kardashian West, were at NYC’s famous Electric Lady Studios Friday night, where Ye has been recording music (it’s also near where he ran into Blu). His new album drops Saturday, and he’s already conceded he’ll be No. 2, behind “Tha Carter V.”

Will a song with Nino Blu make it onto the album? We’ll find out Saturday night.
